ENGINEERING SAFE, EFFICIENT BUILDINGS

Managing Director of Fire Protection

When did you start at Thermotech:

1999

Brief description of your responsibilities at Thermotech:

Key account development and operational strategy (making sure the team do what we say we are going to do).

Brief history of career:

After leaving school I spent a year training to be a chef, but I became disheartened with the reality of the job (unsociable hours, low pay etc.) so I decided to join the family sprinkler business (which was even worse haha!) Eventually found my way to Thermotech air conditioning as a contracts manager before setting up Thermotech fire protection… And here I am still!

What do you love most about your job at Thermotech?

The day to day challenge of meeting the needs of very demanding clients, meeting new clients and forging long lasting partnerships.

Where would we find you on a Sunday afternoon?

Watching my beloved Manchester City or in my “not so local local” I call it that because it was one of the first pubs I ever went in and I made good friends in there, even though I have moved from the area I still like to use it as my local!

What are you most proud of?

My 2 sons, they make me happy, sad, they have made me mad and made me cry but I am very proud of the way they have grown in to fine young men. I am also very proud of the funds we have raised for our 2 charities CAFT and Destination Florida and we have lots more planned in the next 12 months.
